Mother Ruth Weeden Wright, borne and raised in the Church of God in Christ, a preacher's kid, daughter of Elder Willie Weeden and District Missionary Buns J. Weeden. A mother and grandmother. Widow of the late Superintendent James L. Wright. Retired Computer Specialist of 32 years from the Department of Defense.

Mother Wright was licensed as Deaconess Missionary in 1979 by the late Supervisor Ella Bostick Bronaugh. Being brought up in COGIC from a child until now, she experienced many areas of ministry in the Church. To name a few, Sunshine Band, Purity, YWCC, Prayer and Bible Band and also the Mother's Board. She has also worked in Sunday School, Youth, Mission and Music Departments.

She serves her local church as Sunday School and Bible Study Teacher, also President of Church Mother's Board. She has served as EMFJ Department of Women President of the Young Woman Christian Council since the late 70's, Marshall and Assistant Jurisdiction Supervisor since 2004.

National Church services (UNAC-5) Bible Bowl Judge (1972-1979), National Church Registrar (1974-1982), Chief Registrar for Constitutional Convention (1978), National Adjutant, member of the General Assembly Standard & Extensions Committee since 1985, Commissioner for Judicial Board Constitutional Convention 2004.
